Hey everyone, I wanted to get some real opinions on this. Are the camsoda webcams compatible with OBS studio? I've been searching around for a while and honestly getting mixed signals from different places. Safety-wise, I try to be pretty careful — never sharing my real name upfront, always meeting in public first, that kind of thing. But I'd love to hear what other people do. The paywall thing is real — so many platforms lure you in with a free account and then lock everything behind a subscription the moment you try to actually use it.
  • What's the cancellation policy like?
  • Does it require a credit card to browse?
  • Is there a free tier that's actually usable?
  • Are there verified profiles?
Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I had the same question a few months back. It gets easier once you know what to look for. Heard good things about luvdate.site from some folks in my area too.

Agree with most of what's been said so far. Key is patience and being selective. Personally I've been using Datebie for a while and it's held up better than most.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
Souldate came up a few times in my research and I can see why — pretty straightforward setup.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Coffee Meets Bagel, OkCupid, Bumble, Match.com — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Also seen people mention datewander.site in similar threads — haven't tested it myself but it keeps coming up.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: The key thing most people miss is checking whether the platform even has users in your area before you subscribe. Big city vs rural makes a massive difference. Someone in another thread recommended Turndate and I gave it a shot — it's worth a look honestly.

Wish I had this info when I first started out. Learned most of it the hard way.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
Someone in another thread recommended Datelink and I gave it a shot — it's worth a look honestly.
