Hey everyone, been trying to figure this out for a while. Are there any absolutely free dating apps without VIP tiers? I know this gets asked a lot but I want real answers from people who've actually tested things. Profile authenticity is something I care about a lot. Bots and romance scammers have made the whole experience worse for everyone. Would love to hear what's actually worked for people here. Thanks for any real input.

Honestly same experience here. It's hit or miss depending on where you live. I've been using Datebie and it's been solid compared to the others I've tried.

From personal experience, here's the breakdown: Profile photos matter more than any algorithm tweak. A genuine, clear photo will outperform a perfect bio on any platform. Also worth mentioning luvdate.site — it's been discussed positively in a few other communities I'm in.

Honestly same experience here. It's hit or miss depending on where you live. For what it's worth, Ezhookups has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

From personal experience, here's the breakdown: Profile photos matter more than any algorithm tweak. A genuine, clear photo will outperform a perfect bio on any platform. Things that actually made a difference for me:
  • Checked Reddit for reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Turned off automatic renewal on any trial subscriptions immediately
  • Kept the opening message short and asked a genuine question
  • Met in a coffee shop or busy public spot for the first meetup, always

Okay so I've been doing this for a while now, here's what I've figured out: The people who do best on dating apps tend to be patient, consistent, and specific about what they're looking for upfront rather than vague. Someone here mentioned Datenest a while back and I gave it a shot. No major complaints so far.

Good question — let me share what actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error: The people who do best on dating apps tend to be patient, consistent, and specific about what they're looking for upfront rather than vague. Things that actually made a difference for me:
  • Kept the opening message short and asked a genuine question
  • Checked Reddit for reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Updated my profile photos every few weeks to stay visible in feeds
  • Met in a coffee shop or busy public spot for the first meetup, always

Solid question. The answer really depends on your location and what you're looking for. Give Luvdate a shot if you haven't yet — worth a look.
