Been wondering about this for a bit — figured this community would know. Are there any phone dating sites that are still active and safe? Safety is non-negotiable for me at this point. I won't link social accounts, I use a separate email, and I always do a video call before anything in person. Learned most of that the hard way.
  • Clear account deletion option
  • No paywall on basic messaging
  • Proximity matching that works
Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

Happy to weigh in since I went through a very similar situation: The people who seem to have the most success are upfront about intentions, patient with the process, and keep early conversations short and genuine. I tried Rendate after seeing it come up in a few threads. Better than most I'd tested.

Happy to weigh in since I went through a very similar situation: Photo quality matters more than anything else on your profile. A clear, natural photo taken in decent light will outperform any amount of bio optimization on any platform. What actually helped:
  • Trusted gut instinct whenever something felt off about a profile
  • Cancelled auto-renew on free trials immediately after signing up
  • Set specific goals for each platform rather than treating it as a general numbers game
  • Refreshed profile photos every few weeks to stay active in recommendation feeds
Also seen luvdate.site mentioned positively in a few other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.

Spent way too long figuring this out, so hopefully this saves someone the effort: The 'free' tier on most platforms is designed to frustrate rather than satisfy. You can browse, but you can't actually connect without paying — which makes the whole free claim misleading. What actually helped:
  • Always verified via video call before any in-person meetup
  • Trusted gut instinct whenever something felt off about a profile
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating platform signups
  • Set specific goals for each platform rather than treating it as a general numbers game
  • Refreshed profile photos every few weeks to stay active in recommendation feeds
I tried Flamedate after seeing it come up in a few threads. Better than most I'd tested.

Good question. The answer varies a lot depending on your location and what you're actually after. Also seen flurrydate.online come up positively in similar threads.

Solid thread. Wish I'd found this before I wasted money on a couple of platforms. Souldate is worth a try if you haven't already.

Let me share what actually made a difference for me after a lot of trial and error: The 'free' tier on most platforms is designed to frustrate rather than satisfy. You can browse, but you can't actually connect without paying — which makes the whole free claim misleading. Also seen datebound.site mentioned positively in a few other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.

Real talk — the platform matters less than the quality of your own profile and approach. Been on Datewander for a while — one of the better options I've found.

The gap between platforms is wider than most people realize going in. Also seen datenest.site come up positively in similar threads.

Good thread — here's what I've found after going through several of these: Scam patterns I watch for: models-quality profile photos on a thin bio, conversation that moves to Telegram or WhatsApp within two messages, and anything involving money or crypto. Datescout kept appearing in my research — worth a look.
