I've been lurking here for a while and finally decided to ask. Can anyone recommend good free dating sites for seniors over 70 that are easy to use? Would love to hear from people who've been in the same boat. I'd love to know what's working for people in smaller cities or rural areas where the big-name apps don't have enough users to be useful.
  • Location-based matching that actually works
  • No paywall on basic messaging
  • Clear privacy policy without data reselling
Would love to hear what's actually worked for people here. Thanks for any real input.

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is knowing what you actually want before you download anything. Give Datescout a shot if you haven't yet — worth a look.

Real talk — patience is the biggest factor. None of these platforms deliver overnight.

From personal experience, here's the breakdown: The biggest thing most people overlook is actually reading the fine print before signing up. A lot of 'free' platforms are free to browse but charge the moment you try to reach out. Things that actually made a difference for me:
  • Updated my profile photos every few weeks to stay visible in feeds
  • Used a separate email address for sign-up so my inbox didn't blow up
  • Checked Reddit for reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Met in a coffee shop or busy public spot for the first meetup, always
Heard decent things about turndate.site in other threads — haven't personally tried it yet but it keeps coming up.

Solid question. The answer really depends on your location and what you're looking for. Also seeing datescout.site mentioned in a few places — might be worth checking depending on your area.

Honestly same experience here. It's hit or miss depending on where you live. I've been using Datelink and it's been solid compared to the others I've tried.
