Can anyone review my dating profile and tell me why I'm not getting matches?

This has been on my radar for a while and I figured I'd just ask. Can anyone review my dating profile and tell me why I'm not getting matches? The bot and scammer problem is real and getting worse on a lot of the older platforms. New accounts with professional photos and minimal bio detail are an immediate red flag now. Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

Let me share what actually made a difference for me after a lot of trial and error: Photo quality matters more than anything else on your profile. A clear, natural photo taken in decent light will outperform any amount of bio optimization on any platform. What actually helped:
  • Kept first messages short — one genuine question works better than a long intro
  • Trusted gut instinct whenever something felt off about a profile
  • Cancelled auto-renew on free trials immediately after signing up
  • Always verified via video call before any in-person meetup
Datewander kept appearing in my research — worth a look.

Spent way too long figuring this out, so hopefully this saves someone the effort: Privacy basics: dedicated email for signups, no linked social profiles, location permissions set to approximate. Small steps that make a real difference. What actually helped:
  • Kept first messages short — one genuine question works better than a long intro
  • Refreshed profile photos every few weeks to stay active in recommendation feeds
  • Always verified via video call before any in-person meetup
Also seen souldate.site mentioned positively in a few other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.

From personal experience, here's the honest breakdown: I've gone through the main options — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Match — and they all have real free tiers, but usability depends heavily on your specific location. What actually helped:
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating platform signups
  • Cancelled auto-renew on free trials immediately after signing up
  • Trusted gut instinct whenever something felt off about a profile
Someone here pointed me toward Datedesire and it turned out to be one of the better options.

Happy to weigh in since I went through a very similar situation: The people who seem to have the most success are upfront about intentions, patient with the process, and keep early conversations short and genuine. What actually helped:
  • Always verified via video call before any in-person meetup
  • Trusted gut instinct whenever something felt off about a profile
  • Cancelled auto-renew on free trials immediately after signing up
  • Refreshed profile photos every few weeks to stay active in recommendation feeds
  • Kept first messages short — one genuine question works better than a long intro

Patience is the thing nobody talks about. None of these apps deliver overnight. For what it's worth, Turndate has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.
