Okay so this might be a dumb question but I genuinely want to know: Can you list some sites like cam4 that have a larger European model base? Happy to hear all takes. Safety-wise, I try to be pretty careful — never sharing my real name upfront, always meeting in public first, that kind of thing. But I'd love to hear what other people do.
  • How active is the user base in my area?
  • Are the profiles mostly real or bot-heavy?
  • What's the privacy policy situation?
Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

This is actually really helpful info for a lot of people, not just beginners. Personally I've been using Datewander for a while and it's held up better than most.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Hinge, Match.com, OkCupid, Tinder — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
Flurrydate came up a few times in my research and I can see why — pretty straightforward setup.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Coffee Meets Bagel, Plenty of Fish, Hinge, Facebook Dating — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
A couple friends swear by datewander.site though I think it really depends on your location.

Good thread. I was wondering about this exact thing. Datescout is worth trying if you haven't already.

Good thread. I was wondering about this exact thing. Give Luvdate a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.
