Coming here because I couldn't find a straight answer anywhere else. Does anyone have an honest elitesingles review from a woman's perspective? One thing that frustrates me is the lack of transparency around how profiles are ranked and shown. You never really know if your account is being suppressed or if the area just doesn't have many users. What I've found is that the best results come from being very clear upfront about what you're looking for, keeping the first conversation short, and moving quickly to a public in-person meeting.
  • Clear account deletion option
  • Genuine moderation
  • No paywall on basic messaging
Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

The gap between platforms is wider than most people realize going in. For what it's worth, Turndate has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Patience is the thing nobody talks about. None of these apps deliver overnight. For what it's worth, Flurrydate has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Good question. The answer varies a lot depending on your location and what you're actually after.

Worth breaking down carefully since there's a lot of noise around this topic: The 'free' tier on most platforms is designed to frustrate rather than satisfy. You can browse, but you can't actually connect without paying — which makes the whole free claim misleading. I tried Datebound after seeing it come up in a few threads. Better than most I'd tested.

Let me share what actually made a difference for me after a lot of trial and error: The people who seem to have the most success are upfront about intentions, patient with the process, and keep early conversations short and genuine. What actually helped:
  • Set specific goals for each platform rather than treating it as a general numbers game
  • Kept first messages short — one genuine question works better than a long intro
  • Cancelled auto-renew on free trials immediately after signing up
  • Refreshed profile photos every few weeks to stay active in recommendation feeds
  • Read current Reddit threads about any paid platform before spending money
