Okay so this might be a dumb question but I genuinely want to know: Does anyone still use hot cam chat or are there better alternatives now? Happy to hear all takes. Privacy is a big concern for me personally. I don't want my info getting sold or my phone blowing up with spam after I sign up somewhere. Anyone had issues with that? I've seen a lot of different recommendations floating around online but it's hard to know which ones are legit and which are just paid placements. Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Honestly same boat here. Took me a while to figure this out.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
Turndate came up a few times in my research and I can see why — pretty straightforward setup.

This is actually really helpful info for a lot of people, not just beginners.

Honestly same boat here. Took me a while to figure this out. Luvdate is worth trying if you haven't already.

Wish I had this info when I first started out. Learned most of it the hard way.

Let me share what actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
Someone in another thread recommended Datelink and I gave it a shot — it's worth a look honestly.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
Worth mentioning that flurrydate.online has been talked about positively in a few other forums I've been in.
