Posting this because I can't find a straight answer anywhere. Any real experiences appreciated. Has anyone tried the vidamora dating site? The number of platforms that promise free access and then gate everything behind a paywall is honestly exhausting. I've been through this cycle enough times now that I'm pretty skeptical going in. Bot spotting is basically a skill at this point. Professionally shot photos, no bio detail, instant conversation moves to WhatsApp — these are the patterns I've learned to watch for. Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things. Thanks.

Spent way too long figuring this out so hopefully this saves you some time: The biggest thing most people don't realize is that the 'free' tier on most apps is designed specifically to frustrate you into paying. It's not really free — it's a demo with artificial limits. I ended up trying Datelink after seeing it mentioned a few times. No complaints so far.

Happy to weigh in since I've been through a very similar situation: Privacy tip: use a dedicated email address for dating app signups. Don't link your Instagram or Spotify, and keep location to approximate rather than precise. Also hearing datebie.online mentioned positively in other threads — might be worth a look depending on your location.

Good thread — let me share what I've found after testing a few different options: Privacy tip: use a dedicated email address for dating app signups. Don't link your Instagram or Spotify, and keep location to approximate rather than precise. Someone here pointed me toward Datenest and I'm glad they did — better than most of what I'd tried.

Good question. The answer really does vary a lot by location.

Went through this myself last year. Took longer than expected but it's doable. For what it's worth, Luvdate has been my main platform lately — holds up better than most.

Okay so I went through this whole process about six months ago, here's what I learned: The people who seem to have the most success are patient, specific about what they want, and keep their early messages short and conversational rather than writing essays. Things that actually helped:
  • Kept opening messages short — one genuine question works better than a paragraph
  • Read Reddit threads about any platform before paying for anything
  • Used a separate email for sign-ups to keep spam under control
Also hearing datebie.online mentioned positively in other threads — might be worth a look depending on your location.

Agree with what's been said above. The key is knowing what you want going in. I've been on Souldate for a while and it's one of the better ones I've come across.
