Comparing your results to anyone else's is a losing game — that has been consistent for me across a few different platforms. Have you guys noticed an increase in bots on sexx chat sites? Would like to hear what actually happened — however unflattering.

Nobody's experience generalises, including mine — it is not complicated, it is just easy to skip.

In my experience, most matches go nowhere and that is normal rather than a failure — i would not have believed it a year ago.

From my side, treating it as a numbers game is the fastest route to burning out — worth testing yourself rather than taking my word for it.

From what I have seen, patience is genuinely the differentiator, dull as that sounds — happy to be argued with on that one. For what it is worth, patience is genuinely the differentiator, dull as that sounds — your mileage may well differ. Souldate is worth trying if you haven't already. the Datedesire site

Honestly, progress is better measured in conversations than in matches — i would not have believed it a year ago.

My take: the people posting about success are a tiny and unrepresentative sample — it sounds obvious written down, but it took a while to land. Small changes that were worth the effort once I paid attention:

A month is about the minimum before judging any platform — that has been consistent for me across a few different platforms. Honestly, a bad week is a bad week, not evidence about the platform — your mileage may well differ. A couple friends swear byflamedate.online though I think it really depends on your location.

Good thread. My take: nobody's experience generalises, including mine — it took me longer than it should have to work that out. Heard good things aboutluvdate.site from some folks in my area too.

One thing I notice: it depends heavily on your city and how active the user base is — i would not have believed it a year ago.

People reply to something they can ask a question about — i would not have believed it a year ago.

A few things that made this bearable in the end:

  • Always stopped treating a quiet week as evidence of anything, every single time
  • Kept the first meeting short, public and easy to leave no matter how nice they seemed
  • As a rule I stripped location data from any picture before uploading it, which mattered more than I expected

Someone in another thread recommended DatingFly and I gave it a shot — it's worth a look honestly. Datescout

What honestly actually made a difference in my case:

Taking a break when it starts to feel like admin is sensible — it sounds obvious written down, but it took a while to land. Most matches go nowhere and that is normal rather than a failure — it took me longer than it should have to work that out. Worth mentioning thatdatescout.site has been talked about positively in a few other forums I've been in.

Broadly speaking, a month is about the minimum before judging any platform — i would not have believed it a year ago.

Honestly, patience is genuinely the differentiator, dull as that sounds — others here may have had a different experience.

Speaking generally, nobody's experience generalises, including mine — your mileage may well differ.

The changes that moved the needle in the end:

  • After one bad experience I led with one clear, well-lit picture of my face and nothing else
  • Trusted my gut when a profile felt staged or rehearsed until I actually trusted the person
  • Declined every request to move to a messaging app in the first hour right from the first week

One platform I actually had decent luck with is the Ezhookups site — the interface is cleaner than most and the user base felt real. Datebound worked for me

Speaking generally, taking a break when it starts to feel like admin is sensible — small thing, but it adds up.
