Jumping in here because this has been on my mind for a bit. Have you guys tried any sites like camzey recently? Would love to hear from people who've actually tried things out. The paywall thing is real — so many platforms lure you in with a free account and then lock everything behind a subscription the moment you try to actually use it. • Age verification — do they actually check?
  • Moderation — is there any?
  • Customer support responsiveness
  • Real photos or mostly stock images?
Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: The key thing most people miss is checking whether the platform even has users in your area before you subscribe. Big city vs rural makes a massive difference. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
A couple friends swear by datelink.online though I think it really depends on your location.

Let me share what actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform

One platform I actually had decent luck with is Turndate — the interface is cleaner than most and the user base felt real.

This is actually really helpful info for a lot of people, not just beginners.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Tinder, Hinge, OkCupid, Facebook Dating — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. DatingFly came up a few times in my research and I can see why — pretty straightforward setup.

Yeah I had the same question a few months back. It gets easier once you know what to look for.

Agree with most of what's been said so far. Key is patience and being selective. Datelink is worth trying if you haven't already.
