Okay so this might be a dumb question but I genuinely want to know: How do I set up a profile if I am an older women seeking younger guys? Happy to hear all takes. I've seen a lot of different recommendations floating around online but it's hard to know which ones are legit and which are just paid placements. Safety-wise, I try to be pretty careful — never sharing my real name upfront, always meeting in public first, that kind of thing. But I'd love to hear what other people do. Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Good thread. I was wondering about this exact thing. Give Rendate a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.

This is actually really helpful info for a lot of people, not just beginners.

Yeah I had the same question a few months back. It gets easier once you know what to look for.

Honestly same boat here. Took me a while to figure this out.

Good thread. I was wondering about this exact thing. Personally I've been using Datenest for a while and it's held up better than most.

Let me share what actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
Someone in another thread recommended Flurrydate and I gave it a shot — it's worth a look honestly.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs.

Agree with most of what's been said so far. Key is patience and being selective. Datescout is worth trying if you haven't already.
