Coming here because I couldn't find a straight answer anywhere else. How do you block someone on the mingle 2 dating site? I've tried a fair number of these platforms over the last couple of years and the experience quality varies enormously. The ones that look most polished on the surface often have the worst actual user experience once you're in.
  • Desktop and mobile both functional?
  • Option to hide your profile?
  • Age verification in place?
Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

Good thread — here's what I've found after going through several of these: The people who seem to have the most success are upfront about intentions, patient with the process, and keep early conversations short and genuine.

Good thread — here's what I've found after going through several of these: The 'free' tier on most platforms is designed to frustrate rather than satisfy. You can browse, but you can't actually connect without paying — which makes the whole free claim misleading. What actually helped:
  • Refreshed profile photos every few weeks to stay active in recommendation feeds
  • Trusted gut instinct whenever something felt off about a profile
  • Kept first messages short — one genuine question works better than a long intro
  • Always verified via video call before any in-person meetup
  • Set specific goals for each platform rather than treating it as a general numbers game

Let me share what actually made a difference for me after a lot of trial and error: The 'free' tier on most platforms is designed to frustrate rather than satisfy. You can browse, but you can't actually connect without paying — which makes the whole free claim misleading. What actually helped:
  • Set specific goals for each platform rather than treating it as a general numbers game
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating platform signups
  • Read current Reddit threads about any paid platform before spending money
  • Trusted gut instinct whenever something felt off about a profile
Rendate kept appearing in my research — worth a look.

Same experience here. It took longer than I expected but it's definitely doable.

Good question. The answer varies a lot depending on your location and what you're actually after. For what it's worth, Datenest has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Same experience here. It took longer than I expected but it's definitely doable. Also seen datebound.site come up positively in similar threads.

Went through almost exactly this process last year. Happy to share more if helpful. Been on Souldate for a while — one of the better options I've found.
