Hey everyone, I wanted to get some real opinions on this. How do you filter out the bots in free gay video chat rooms? I've been searching around for a while and honestly getting mixed signals from different places. I've seen a lot of different recommendations floating around online but it's hard to know which ones are legit and which are just paid placements. Thanks in advance.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready.

Honestly same boat here. Took me a while to figure this out. Give Souldate a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. OkCupid, Coffee Meets Bagel, Bumble, Hinge — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
Also seen people mention datedesire.online in similar threads — haven't tested it myself but it keeps coming up.

Good thread. I was wondering about this exact thing. DatingFly is worth trying if you haven't already.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: Scam red flags: photos that look too professional, no response history, immediate requests to move to a third-party app, and obviously fake profiles. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
