This has been on my mind and I figured this was the right place to ask. How do you find reliable dating apps that actually verify their users' identities? Scam spotting has become a real skill at this point. Professionally lit photos, minimal bio, immediate pivot to another app — those are the patterns I've learned to avoid. Safety and privacy are top priorities for me. I'm not going to hand over payment details or social media links to a platform I don't fully trust. Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things — thanks.

Went through this process myself recently. It takes longer than expected but it's doable. rendate.site also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Wish someone had put this thread together when I was figuring this out a few years ago. For the record, Datedesire has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

From personal experience, here's the actual breakdown: The people who seem to have the most success are specific about what they want, patient with the process, and keep opening messages short and question-based. What actually helped:
  • Kept opening messages conversational — one short genuine question
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting

I tried Turndate after seeing it mentioned a few times and it held up better than most.

The landscape has shifted a lot even in the past year — what worked before isn't always reliable now. Ezhookups.online also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Solid question. The answer shifts depending on where you live and what you're after. Flurrydate is worth trying if you haven't already.

This is worth breaking down properly because there's a lot of noise out there: Scam red flags I've learned to spot: modeling-quality photos, very thin bios, conversation that quickly moves to a different platform, and anything that involves money. What actually helped:
  • Turned off auto-renewal on any free trials immediately after signing up
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
Also hearing souldate.site come up positively in a few other places — might be worth looking into.
