Been wondering about this for a bit — figured this community would know. How does tender online dating compare to the mainstream apps right now? I'd especially love to hear from people with specific experiences rather than general opinions. Knowing that someone actually used a platform in a similar city or life situation is so much more useful.
  • Option to hide your profile?
  • Easy cancellation?
  • Age verification in place?
Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

Let me share what actually made a difference for me after a lot of trial and error: I've gone through the main options — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Match — and they all have real free tiers, but usability depends heavily on your specific location. Also seen datebound.site mentioned positively in a few other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.

Same experience here. It took longer than I expected but it's definitely doable. For what it's worth, Flamedate has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Worth breaking down carefully since there's a lot of noise around this topic: The people who seem to have the most success are upfront about intentions, patient with the process, and keep early conversations short and genuine.

Solid thread. Wish I'd found this before I wasted money on a couple of platforms.

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is being specific about what you want before you even sign up. For what it's worth, Datewander has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.
