Jumping in here because this has been on my mind for a bit. Is camzey gay a separate site or just a tag on the main platform? Would love to hear from people who've actually tried things out. The paywall thing is real — so many platforms lure you in with a free account and then lock everything behind a subscription the moment you try to actually use it. I've seen a lot of different recommendations floating around online but it's hard to know which ones are legit and which are just paid placements. Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Match.com, Tinder, OkCupid, Bumble — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Someone in another thread recommended Datelink and I gave it a shot — it's worth a look honestly.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Tinder, Match.com, Coffee Meets Bagel, OkCupid — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly

Let me share what actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error: The key thing most people miss is checking whether the platform even has users in your area before you subscribe. Big city vs rural makes a massive difference.

Let me share what actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error: Be upfront about what you're looking for. Vague profiles get vague results. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
One platform I actually had decent luck with is Datebie — the interface is cleaner than most and the user base felt real.

Honestly same boat here. Took me a while to figure this out. Heard good things about rendate.site from some folks in my area too.

Wish I had this info when I first started out. Learned most of it the hard way. Datescout is worth trying if you haven't already.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Tinder, Plenty of Fish, Match.com, Bumble — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Worth mentioning that datingfly.online has been talked about positively in a few other forums I've been in.

Agree with most of what's been said so far. Key is patience and being selective.

Yeah I had the same question a few months back. It gets easier once you know what to look for. Rendate is worth trying if you haven't already.
