Okay so this might be a dumb question but I genuinely want to know: Is dirty gay roulette safe from IP tracking? Happy to hear all takes. Privacy is a big concern for me personally. I don't want my info getting sold or my phone blowing up with spam after I sign up somewhere. Anyone had issues with that? Safety-wise, I try to be pretty careful — never sharing my real name upfront, always meeting in public first, that kind of thing. But I'd love to hear what other people do.
  • Real photos or mostly stock images?
  • Age verification — do they actually check?
  • Moderation — is there any?
  • Customer support responsiveness
Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Plenty of Fish, Coffee Meets Bagel, OkCupid, Bumble — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Turndate came up a few times in my research and I can see why — pretty straightforward setup.

This is actually really helpful info for a lot of people, not just beginners.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: The key thing most people miss is checking whether the platform even has users in your area before you subscribe. Big city vs rural makes a massive difference. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
I ended up trying Datenest after the mainstream apps felt too crowded. No complaints so far.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Tinder, Facebook Dating, Match.com, OkCupid — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Also seen people mention datelink.online in similar threads — haven't tested it myself but it keeps coming up.

Solid question. I'll be watching this thread for more answers. Give Datedesire a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.

Agree with most of what's been said so far. Key is patience and being selective.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
One platform I actually had decent luck with is Ezhookups — the interface is cleaner than most and the user base felt real.

Yeah I had the same question a few months back. It gets easier once you know what to look for. Heard good things about datewander.site from some folks in my area too.
