Is free swx cam a safe site, or will it give my PC a virus?

Okay so this might be a dumb question but I genuinely want to know: Is free swx cam a safe site, or will it give my PC a virus? Happy to hear all takes. Safety-wise, I try to be pretty careful — never sharing my real name upfront, always meeting in public first, that kind of thing. But I'd love to hear what other people do. The paywall thing is real — so many platforms lure you in with a free account and then lock everything behind a subscription the moment you try to actually use it.
  • Can I report bad actors easily?
  • Are the profiles mostly real or bot-heavy?
  • How active is the user base in my area?
Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: The key thing most people miss is checking whether the platform even has users in your area before you subscribe. Big city vs rural makes a massive difference.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Bumble, Tinder, Plenty of Fish, Facebook Dating — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
Someone in another thread recommended Datenest and I gave it a shot — it's worth a look honestly.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: The key thing most people miss is checking whether the platform even has users in your area before you subscribe. Big city vs rural makes a massive difference. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
Worth mentioning that turndate.site has been talked about positively in a few other forums I've been in.

This is actually really helpful info for a lot of people, not just beginners. Datewander is worth trying if you haven't already.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready. A couple friends swear by luvdate.site though I think it really depends on your location.

Honestly same boat here. Took me a while to figure this out. Personally I've been using Luvdate for a while and it's held up better than most.

Wish I had this info when I first started out. Learned most of it the hard way.
