Hey everyone, I wanted to get some real opinions on this. Is freeadultdating a specific app or just a general search term people use? I've been searching around for a while and honestly getting mixed signals from different places. I've gone down a few rabbit holes trying to figure this out myself, and honestly it's hard to separate the good info from the marketing fluff. Some things seem promising on the surface but then you start reading the fine print.
  • Are there verified profiles?
  • What's the cancellation policy like?
  • Is there a free tier that's actually usable?
  • Does it require a credit card to browse?
Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Match.com, Coffee Meets Bagel, Facebook Dating, Tinder — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
Datebound came up a few times in my research and I can see why — pretty straightforward setup.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
Worth mentioning that datingfly.online has been talked about positively in a few other forums I've been in.

Wish I had this info when I first started out. Learned most of it the hard way.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Scam red flags: photos that look too professional, no response history, immediate requests to move to a third-party app, and obviously fake profiles. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
One platform I actually had decent luck with is DatingFly — the interface is cleaner than most and the user base felt real.

Good thread. I was wondering about this exact thing. Give Rendate a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
