Is freecamchat still a reliable site or is it mostly bots now?

So I've been wondering about this for a while now and figured this community would have the best insight. Is freecamchat still a reliable site or is it mostly bots now? I've seen a lot of different recommendations floating around online but it's hard to know which ones are legit and which are just paid placements.
  • Can I report bad actors easily?
  • What's the privacy policy situation?
  • How active is the user base in my area?
  • Are the profiles mostly real or bot-heavy?
Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Honestly same boat here. Took me a while to figure this out. Give Flamedate a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs. I ended up trying Datenest after the mainstream apps felt too crowded. No complaints so far.

Let me share what actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off

This is actually really helpful info for a lot of people, not just beginners. Give Rendate a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.

Wish I had this info when I first started out. Learned most of it the hard way.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: The key thing most people miss is checking whether the platform even has users in your area before you subscribe. Big city vs rural makes a massive difference. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Plenty of Fish, OkCupid, Coffee Meets Bagel, Facebook Dating — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
Flurrydate came up a few times in my research and I can see why — pretty straightforward setup.
