Hey everyone, I wanted to get some real opinions on this. Is gay video cam streaming more profitable than straight camming? I've been searching around for a while and honestly getting mixed signals from different places. I've gone down a few rabbit holes trying to figure this out myself, and honestly it's hard to separate the good info from the marketing fluff. Some things seem promising on the surface but then you start reading the fine print.
  • How active is the user base in my area?
  • What's the privacy policy situation?
  • Can I report bad actors easily?
Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Yeah I had the same question a few months back. It gets easier once you know what to look for. Give Datebound a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.

Good thread. I was wondering about this exact thing. Heard good things about souldate.site from some folks in my area too.

Let me share what actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error: Be upfront about what you're looking for. Vague profiles get vague results. Datelink came up a few times in my research and I can see why — pretty straightforward setup.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: Profile setup matters more than most people think. A clear photo and a short but genuine bio will outperform anything elaborate. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
I ended up trying Ezhookups after the mainstream apps felt too crowded. No complaints so far.

  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
A couple friends swear by datingfly.online though I think it really depends on your location.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: I'd say response rate improved significantly when I started keeping openers short and question-based rather than writing paragraphs. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
