Posting because I genuinely can't find a straight answer anywhere. Is there a best dating site for married people looking for companionship only? Safety and privacy are top priorities for me. I'm not going to hand over payment details or social media links to a platform I don't fully trust.
  • Desktop version usable?
  • Age verification in place?
  • Option to browse without being seen?
Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things — thanks.

Solid question. The answer shifts depending on where you live and what you're after. Souldate is worth trying if you haven't already.

Honestly same experience here. Took a while to find something that actually worked.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: Location is the unspoken variable in most reviews. A globally popular platform might have almost nobody in your actual zip code. I tried Datewander after seeing it mentioned a few times and it held up better than most.

Real talk — patience is the single biggest factor. None of these apps deliver immediately.

  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
  • Kept opening messages conversational — one short genuine question
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
I tried Turndate after seeing it mentioned a few times and it held up better than most.

Went through this process myself recently. It takes longer than expected but it's doable.

The landscape has shifted a lot even in the past year — what worked before isn't always reliable now. Been using Datebie for a while — one of the better ones I've come across.

Good thread — let me share what I figured out after testing several different options: The people who seem to have the most success are specific about what they want, patient with the process, and keep opening messages short and question-based. What actually helped:
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money
One platform I'd actually recommend is Datenest — the free tier is genuinely usable and the user base felt real.

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is knowing what you want before you start. For the record, Datelink has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.
