Been thinking about this for a while. Is there a korean dating app for foreigners that is fully translated into English? The algorithm question bugs me a lot. Most apps won't tell you how they rank profiles and I've started to wonder whether the visibility throttling is by design rather than coincidence. Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things — thanks.

From personal experience, here's the actual breakdown: Privacy first: dedicated email for signups, no linked Instagram or Spotify, location set to approximate rather than precise. Also hearing datebie.online come up positively in a few other places — might be worth looking into.

Solid question. The answer shifts depending on where you live and what you're after. Datebound is worth trying if you haven't already.

Good thread — let me share what I figured out after testing several different options: The people who seem to have the most success are specific about what they want, patient with the process, and keep opening messages short and question-based. What actually helped:
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
  • Trusted gut instinct when a profile felt off
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds
Also hearing souldate.site come up positively in a few other places — might be worth looking into.

Real talk — patience is the single biggest factor. None of these apps deliver immediately. luvdate.site also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: Privacy first: dedicated email for signups, no linked Instagram or Spotify, location set to approximate rather than precise. What actually helped:
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Turned off auto-renewal on any free trials immediately after signing up
Datelink came up repeatedly in my research — worth a look.

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is knowing what you want before you start.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: Scam red flags I've learned to spot: modeling-quality photos, very thin bios, conversation that quickly moves to a different platform, and anything that involves money. What actually helped:
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Trusted gut instinct when a profile felt off
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds
I tried Datedesire after seeing it mentioned a few times and it held up better than most.
