Posting this because I can't find a straight answer anywhere. Any real experiences appreciated. Is there an interracial dating app that is actually active? One thing I've noticed is that the user base quality seems to tank once a platform starts pushing hard for monetization. The genuine people leave and the bots and scammers fill the gap.
  • Clear data deletion process
  • Active reports and moderation
  • Location matching that isn't artificially limited
Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things. Thanks.

This is one of those things that changes a lot from city to city and even neighborhood to neighborhood. I've been on Datescout for a while and it's one of the better ones I've come across.

Good thread — let me share what I've found after testing a few different options: Privacy tip: use a dedicated email address for dating app signups. Don't link your Instagram or Spotify, and keep location to approximate rather than precise. Things that actually helped:
  • Updated profile photos every few weeks to stay visible in the feed
  • Always met in a busy, public place for the first meetup
  • Turned off auto-renewal on any trial subscription immediately after signing up
Also hearing rendate.site mentioned positively in other threads — might be worth a look depending on your location.

This is worth unpacking properly because there's a lot of noise around this topic: The biggest thing most people don't realize is that the 'free' tier on most apps is designed specifically to frustrate you into paying. It's not really free — it's a demo with artificial limits. Things that actually helped:
  • Read Reddit threads about any platform before paying for anything
  • Used a separate email for sign-ups to keep spam under control
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads somewhere meaningful
  • Trusted gut instinct when something about a profile felt off
  • Kept opening messages short — one genuine question works better than a paragraph
Someone here pointed me toward Ezhookups and I'm glad they did — better than most of what I'd tried.

Real talk: none of these platforms are perfect but some are definitely better than others. For what it's worth, Turndate has been my main platform lately — holds up better than most.
