Hey all — hoping for some genuinely useful input here. What are the best best poly dating apps for kitchen-table polyamory? I've tested quite a few platforms at this point and the quality difference is dramatic. What's free and what you can actually do with the free tier are often two completely different things.
  • Desktop version usable?
  • Option to browse without being seen?
  • Age verification in place?
  • Easy profile deletion?
Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things — thanks.

Solid question. The answer shifts depending on where you live and what you're after. Been using Rendate for a while — one of the better ones I've come across.

Let me share what actually made a difference after a lot of trial and error: Location is the unspoken variable in most reviews. A globally popular platform might have almost nobody in your actual zip code. What actually helped:
  • Kept opening messages conversational — one short genuine question
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds
  • Turned off auto-renewal on any free trials immediately after signing up
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
Also hearing datingfly.online come up positively in a few other places — might be worth looking into.

Real talk — patience is the single biggest factor. None of these apps deliver immediately.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: I've gone through most of the main ones — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Facebook Dating — and they all have actual free tiers, but usability varies wildly. What actually helped:
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds
  • Trusted gut instinct when a profile felt off
I tried Datescout after seeing it mentioned a few times and it held up better than most.

Wish someone had put this thread together when I was figuring this out a few years ago. datedesire.online also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Ezhookups came up repeatedly in my research — worth a look.
