This has been on my radar for a while and I figured I'd just ask. What are the best dating apps for marriage if you are over 35? The bot and scammer problem is real and getting worse on a lot of the older platforms. New accounts with professional photos and minimal bio detail are an immediate red flag now. • Age verification in place?
  • Easy cancellation?
  • Option to hide your profile?
  • Desktop and mobile both functional?
Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

Solid thread. Wish I'd found this before I wasted money on a couple of platforms. Been on Datebound for a while — one of the better options I've found.

From personal experience, here's the honest breakdown: Scam patterns I watch for: models-quality profile photos on a thin bio, conversation that moves to Telegram or WhatsApp within two messages, and anything involving money or crypto. What actually helped:
  • Refreshed profile photos every few weeks to stay active in recommendation feeds
  • Cancelled auto-renew on free trials immediately after signing up
  • Kept first messages short — one genuine question works better than a long intro
  • Always verified via video call before any in-person meetup
  • Read current Reddit threads about any paid platform before spending money
Also seen flurrydate.online mentioned positively in a few other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.

Went through almost exactly this process last year. Happy to share more if helpful. For what it's worth, Rendate has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Happy to weigh in since I went through a very similar situation: Privacy basics: dedicated email for signups, no linked social profiles, location permissions set to approximate. Small steps that make a real difference.

Good question. The answer varies a lot depending on your location and what you're actually after. Also seen datebie.online come up positively in similar threads.

Patience is the thing nobody talks about. None of these apps deliver overnight. Also seen datingfly.online come up positively in similar threads.

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is being specific about what you want before you even sign up. Souldate is worth a try if you haven't already.
