Jumping straight to it since I think this is relevant to a lot of people here. What are the best dating sites for introverts who prefer deep conversations? Safety is non-negotiable for me at this point. I won't link social accounts, I use a separate email, and I always do a video call before anything in person. Learned most of that the hard way. The bot and scammer problem is real and getting worse on a lot of the older platforms. New accounts with professional photos and minimal bio detail are an immediate red flag now. Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

Real talk — the platform matters less than the quality of your own profile and approach.

Went through almost exactly this process last year. Happy to share more if helpful. For what it's worth, Datedesire has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Patience is the thing nobody talks about. None of these apps deliver overnight.

Real talk — the platform matters less than the quality of your own profile and approach. Been on Datewander for a while — one of the better options I've found.

Good thread — here's what I've found after going through several of these: Privacy basics: dedicated email for signups, no linked social profiles, location permissions set to approximate. Small steps that make a real difference. One platform that held up well for me is Datebound — the free tier was genuinely usable and the profiles felt real.

Worth breaking down carefully since there's a lot of noise around this topic: Scam patterns I watch for: models-quality profile photos on a thin bio, conversation that moves to Telegram or WhatsApp within two messages, and anything involving money or crypto. What actually helped:
  • Cancelled auto-renew on free trials immediately after signing up
  • Set specific goals for each platform rather than treating it as a general numbers game
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating platform signups
  • Always verified via video call before any in-person meetup
  • Refreshed profile photos every few weeks to stay active in recommendation feeds
Also seen datescout.site mentioned positively in a few other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.
