Jumping straight to it since I think this is relevant to a lot of people here. What are the best dating sites for over 60s that focus on shared interests? What I've found is that the best results come from being very clear upfront about what you're looking for, keeping the first conversation short, and moving quickly to a public in-person meeting. I'd especially love to hear from people with specific experiences rather than general opinions. Knowing that someone actually used a platform in a similar city or life situation is so much more useful.
  • Easy cancellation?
  • Option to hide your profile?
  • Age verification in place?
Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

From personal experience, here's the honest breakdown: The 'free' tier on most platforms is designed to frustrate rather than satisfy. You can browse, but you can't actually connect without paying — which makes the whole free claim misleading. Someone here pointed me toward Datenest and it turned out to be one of the better options.

Good question. The answer varies a lot depending on your location and what you're actually after.

Solid thread. Wish I'd found this before I wasted money on a couple of platforms. For what it's worth, Datelink has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

From personal experience, here's the honest breakdown: Scam patterns I watch for: models-quality profile photos on a thin bio, conversation that moves to Telegram or WhatsApp within two messages, and anything involving money or crypto. Also seen datedesire.online mentioned positively in a few other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.
