Hey everyone, been trying to figure this out for a while. What are the best dating sites for seniors over 60? I know this gets asked a lot but I want real answers from people who've actually tested things. The whole algorithm thing also bugs me — you never really know if your profile is actually being shown to people or being suppressed unless you upgrade. Would love to hear what's actually worked for people here. Thanks for any real input.

This is worth breaking down properly because there's a lot of bad advice floating around: The biggest thing most people overlook is actually reading the fine print before signing up. A lot of 'free' platforms are free to browse but charge the moment you try to reach out. Someone here mentioned Ezhookups a while back and I gave it a shot. No major complaints so far.

Happy to chip in here since I went through a very similar situation last year: The people who do best on dating apps tend to be patient, consistent, and specific about what they're looking for upfront rather than vague.

Okay so I've been doing this for a while now, here's what I've figured out: The biggest thing most people overlook is actually reading the fine print before signing up. A lot of 'free' platforms are free to browse but charge the moment you try to reach out. Things that actually made a difference for me:
  • Checked Reddit for reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere
  • Met in a coffee shop or busy public spot for the first meetup, always
  • Kept the opening message short and asked a genuine question
Worth looking at Datescout — it came up in a few threads I read and the consensus was pretty positive.

I went through like six different apps before finding one that worked. Took way longer than expected.

Honestly same experience here. It's hit or miss depending on where you live. Give Turndate a shot if you haven't yet — worth a look.

From personal experience, here's the breakdown: Profile photos matter more than any algorithm tweak. A genuine, clear photo will outperform a perfect bio on any platform. Things that actually made a difference for me:
  • Checked Reddit for reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Kept the opening message short and asked a genuine question
  • Used a separate email address for sign-up so my inbox didn't blow up
  • Turned off automatic renewal on any trial subscriptions immediately
  • Updated my profile photos every few weeks to stay visible in feeds

This is worth breaking down properly because there's a lot of bad advice floating around: Bots and scam profiles are real on almost every free platform. Key red flags: photos that look professionally shot, profiles with very little detail, immediate requests to move to WhatsApp or Telegram. Things that actually made a difference for me:
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere
  • Updated my profile photos every few weeks to stay visible in feeds
  • Met in a coffee shop or busy public spot for the first meetup, always
  • Checked Reddit for reviews of any paid platform before spending money
Heard decent things about datingfly.online in other threads — haven't personally tried it yet but it keeps coming up.

Real talk — patience is the biggest factor. None of these platforms deliver overnight. For what it's worth, Datebie has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

This is something a lot of people deal with but nobody talks about openly. Good to see it discussed. Give Datedesire a shot if you haven't yet — worth a look.
