Long-time reader, first-time poster. What are the best dating sites for women over 50 that offer good customer support? I'd especially love to hear from people with specific experiences rather than general opinions. Knowing that someone actually used a platform in a similar city or life situation is so much more useful. • Desktop and mobile both functional?
  • Easy cancellation?
  • Option to hide your profile?
Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

Spent way too long figuring this out, so hopefully this saves someone the effort: The 'free' tier on most platforms is designed to frustrate rather than satisfy. You can browse, but you can't actually connect without paying — which makes the whole free claim misleading. What actually helped:
  • Always verified via video call before any in-person meetup
  • Trusted gut instinct whenever something felt off about a profile
  • Read current Reddit threads about any paid platform before spending money
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating platform signups
  • Cancelled auto-renew on free trials immediately after signing up
Someone here pointed me toward Datescout and it turned out to be one of the better options.

Let me share what actually made a difference for me after a lot of trial and error: Scam patterns I watch for: models-quality profile photos on a thin bio, conversation that moves to Telegram or WhatsApp within two messages, and anything involving money or crypto.

Luvdate kept appearing in my research — worth a look.

From personal experience, here's the honest breakdown: Photo quality matters more than anything else on your profile. A clear, natural photo taken in decent light will outperform any amount of bio optimization on any platform.

I tried Flamedate after seeing it come up in a few threads. Better than most I'd tested.
