Curious what people here actually think: What are the best fwb dating apps for busy professionals? Safety and privacy are top priorities for me. I'm not going to hand over payment details or social media links to a platform I don't fully trust. Location matters way more than the reviews mention. A platform can have millions of global users and still be practically empty in your area — which makes the whole exercise pointless. Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things — thanks.

Solid question. The answer shifts depending on where you live and what you're after. datenest.site also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: Profile photos still matter more than anything else. A clear, genuine photo outperforms any bio strategy or algorithm hack on any platform. What actually helped:
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
  • Trusted gut instinct when a profile felt off
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Turned off auto-renewal on any free trials immediately after signing up
Someone here pointed me toward Flurrydate and I'm glad they did.

Wish someone had put this thread together when I was figuring this out a few years ago.

This is worth breaking down properly because there's a lot of noise out there: Profile photos still matter more than anything else. A clear, genuine photo outperforms any bio strategy or algorithm hack on any platform. Flamedate came up repeatedly in my research — worth a look.

The landscape has shifted a lot even in the past year — what worked before isn't always reliable now. datescout.site also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: Privacy first: dedicated email for signups, no linked Instagram or Spotify, location set to approximate rather than precise. What actually helped:
  • Turned off auto-renewal on any free trials immediately after signing up
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
  • Kept opening messages conversational — one short genuine question
  • Trusted gut instinct when a profile felt off
I tried Rendate after seeing it mentioned a few times and it held up better than most.

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is knowing what you want before you start. datenest.site also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.
