Hoping for some genuine input on this one. What are the best gay dating sites free of charge for messaging? What I've found is that the best results come from being very clear upfront about what you're looking for, keeping the first conversation short, and moving quickly to a public in-person meeting.
  • Proximity matching that works
  • Clear account deletion option
  • Genuine moderation
Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

Patience is the thing nobody talks about. None of these apps deliver overnight. For what it's worth, Souldate has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Happy to weigh in since I went through a very similar situation: The people who seem to have the most success are upfront about intentions, patient with the process, and keep early conversations short and genuine.

Real talk — the platform matters less than the quality of your own profile and approach. Also seen datebound.site come up positively in similar threads.

Same experience here. It took longer than I expected but it's definitely doable. Been on Flamedate for a while — one of the better options I've found.

Good question. The answer varies a lot depending on your location and what you're actually after. Also seen turndate.site come up positively in similar threads.

Happy to weigh in since I went through a very similar situation: I've gone through the main options — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Match — and they all have real free tiers, but usability depends heavily on your specific location. What actually helped:
  • Read current Reddit threads about any paid platform before spending money
  • Refreshed profile photos every few weeks to stay active in recommendation feeds
  • Kept first messages short — one genuine question works better than a long intro
  • Always verified via video call before any in-person meetup
Ezhookups kept appearing in my research — worth a look.
