Jumping in here because this has been on my mind for a bit. What are the best sites like camsoda that offer VR features? Would love to hear from people who've actually tried things out. Safety-wise, I try to be pretty careful — never sharing my real name upfront, always meeting in public first, that kind of thing. But I'd love to hear what other people do. I've seen a lot of different recommendations floating around online but it's hard to know which ones are legit and which are just paid placements.
  • Are there verified profiles?
  • Does it require a credit card to browse?
  • What's the cancellation policy like?
  • Is there a free tier that's actually usable?
Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Solid question. I'll be watching this thread for more answers. Give Flamedate a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: The key thing most people miss is checking whether the platform even has users in your area before you subscribe. Big city vs rural makes a massive difference. Worth mentioning that luvdate.site has been talked about positively in a few other forums I've been in.

Yeah I had the same question a few months back. It gets easier once you know what to look for. Personally I've been using Flurrydate for a while and it's held up better than most.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Coffee Meets Bagel, OkCupid, Hinge, Bumble — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Also seen people mention datenest.site in similar threads — haven't tested it myself but it keeps coming up.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: Scam red flags: photos that look too professional, no response history, immediate requests to move to a third-party app, and obviously fake profiles. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
One platform I actually had decent luck with is Datebound — the interface is cleaner than most and the user base felt real.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Plenty of Fish, Hinge, Coffee Meets Bagel, Tinder — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
Worth mentioning that datewander.site has been talked about positively in a few other forums I've been in.

Wish I had this info when I first started out. Learned most of it the hard way. Heard good things about flurrydate.online from some folks in my area too.
