Been thinking about this for a while. What are the biggest dating apps by user volume this year? Scam spotting has become a real skill at this point. Professionally lit photos, minimal bio, immediate pivot to another app — those are the patterns I've learned to avoid.
  • Desktop version usable?
  • Age verification in place?
  • Easy profile deletion?
Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things — thanks.

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is knowing what you want before you start. For the record, Datedesire has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Honestly same experience here. Took a while to find something that actually worked. datedesire.online also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: Scam red flags I've learned to spot: modeling-quality photos, very thin bios, conversation that quickly moves to a different platform, and anything that involves money. Flamedate came up repeatedly in my research — worth a look.

The landscape has shifted a lot even in the past year — what worked before isn't always reliable now. datedesire.online also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Good thread — let me share what I figured out after testing several different options: The people who seem to have the most success are specific about what they want, patient with the process, and keep opening messages short and question-based. What actually helped:
  • Trusted gut instinct when a profile felt off
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds
  • Kept opening messages conversational — one short genuine question

From personal experience, here's the actual breakdown: The biggest misconception is that 'free' means usable. On most platforms, the free tier is deliberately frustrating to push you toward paying — it's not really free, it's a teaser. What actually helped:
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Kept opening messages conversational — one short genuine question
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds
Datescout came up repeatedly in my research — worth a look.

Good thread — let me share what I figured out after testing several different options: Profile photos still matter more than anything else. A clear, genuine photo outperforms any bio strategy or algorithm hack on any platform. What actually helped:
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Kept opening messages conversational — one short genuine question
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds
  • Trusted gut instinct when a profile felt off
