Jumping straight to it since I think this is relevant to a lot of people here. What are the most active over 60 dating sites in the Midwest? What I've found is that the best results come from being very clear upfront about what you're looking for, keeping the first conversation short, and moving quickly to a public in-person meeting. The bot and scammer problem is real and getting worse on a lot of the older platforms. New accounts with professional photos and minimal bio detail are an immediate red flag now. Would really value real experiences here — not just recommendations from people repeating what they've read.

Good question. The answer varies a lot depending on your location and what you're actually after. Been on Datescout for a while — one of the better options I've found.

Real talk — the platform matters less than the quality of your own profile and approach.

Worth breaking down carefully since there's a lot of noise around this topic: Scam patterns I watch for: models-quality profile photos on a thin bio, conversation that moves to Telegram or WhatsApp within two messages, and anything involving money or crypto. Also seen datelink.online mentioned positively in a few other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.

Happy to weigh in since I went through a very similar situation: Photo quality matters more than anything else on your profile. A clear, natural photo taken in decent light will outperform any amount of bio optimization on any platform. Also seen datewander.site mentioned positively in a few other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.

Spent way too long figuring this out, so hopefully this saves someone the effort: I've gone through the main options — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Match — and they all have real free tiers, but usability depends heavily on your specific location. What actually helped:
  • Read current Reddit threads about any paid platform before spending money
  • Trusted gut instinct whenever something felt off about a profile
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating platform signups

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is being specific about what you want before you even sign up. For what it's worth, Datebie has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.
