Okay so this might be a dumb question but I genuinely want to know: What is the best cam like omegle since the original shut down? Happy to hear all takes. Privacy is a big concern for me personally. I don't want my info getting sold or my phone blowing up with spam after I sign up somewhere. Anyone had issues with that? Safety-wise, I try to be pretty careful — never sharing my real name upfront, always meeting in public first, that kind of thing. But I'd love to hear what other people do. Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Solid question. I'll be watching this thread for more answers. Personally I've been using Datebie for a while and it's held up better than most.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Facebook Dating — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter.

Good thread. I was wondering about this exact thing. Datebound is worth trying if you haven't already.

Okay so from personal experience, here's the breakdown: Scam red flags: photos that look too professional, no response history, immediate requests to move to a third-party app, and obviously fake profiles.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Match.com, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: Profile setup matters more than most people think. A clear photo and a short but genuine bio will outperform anything elaborate. Ezhookups came up a few times in my research and I can see why — pretty straightforward setup.

Yeah I had the same question a few months back. It gets easier once you know what to look for. Heard good things about turndate.site from some folks in my area too.

Honestly same boat here. Took me a while to figure this out. Give Flurrydate a shot — it's one of the better options I've come across.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Tinder, Match.com, Facebook Dating, Plenty of Fish — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
  • Always set a first meeting in a coffee shop or busy public spot
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly

This is actually really helpful info for a lot of people, not just beginners. Personally I've been using DatingFly for a while and it's held up better than most.
