This has been on my mind and I figured this was the right place to ask. What is the best dating app for married people who are in an open relationship? Location matters way more than the reviews mention. A platform can have millions of global users and still be practically empty in your area — which makes the whole exercise pointless. Safety and privacy are top priorities for me. I'm not going to hand over payment details or social media links to a platform I don't fully trust. Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things — thanks.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: I've gone through most of the main ones — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Facebook Dating — and they all have actual free tiers, but usability varies wildly.

Real talk — patience is the single biggest factor. None of these apps deliver immediately. For the record, Datebound has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Let me share what actually made a difference after a lot of trial and error: Profile photos still matter more than anything else. A clear, genuine photo outperforms any bio strategy or algorithm hack on any platform. What actually helped:
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
  • Updated profile photos regularly to stay visible in feeds

Honestly same experience here. Took a while to find something that actually worked.

Spent way too long learning this the hard way, so hopefully it saves you some time: Scam red flags I've learned to spot: modeling-quality photos, very thin bios, conversation that quickly moves to a different platform, and anything that involves money. Also hearing flamedate.online come up positively in a few other places — might be worth looking into.

Went through this process myself recently. It takes longer than expected but it's doable. For the record, Datedesire has been my go-to for a while — holds up better than most.

Good thread — let me share what I figured out after testing several different options: I've gone through most of the main ones — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Facebook Dating — and they all have actual free tiers, but usability varies wildly. What actually helped:

  • Trusted gut instinct when a profile felt off

This is worth breaking down properly because there's a lot of noise out there: Location is the unspoken variable in most reviews. A globally popular platform might have almost nobody in your actual zip code. Also hearing datenest.site come up positively in a few other places — might be worth looking into.
