Not sure if this has been covered before but: Would genuinely appreciate any input. What is the best dating app for the rich and elite? Bot spotting is basically a skill at this point. Professionally shot photos, no bio detail, instant conversation moves to WhatsApp — these are the patterns I've learned to watch for.
  • Is the desktop version usable?
  • Age verification in place?
  • Can you export or delete your data?
Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things. Thanks.

Okay so I went through this whole process about six months ago, here's what I learned: The biggest thing most people don't realize is that the 'free' tier on most apps is designed specifically to frustrate you into paying. It's not really free — it's a demo with artificial limits. Things that actually helped:
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads somewhere meaningful
  • Updated profile photos every few weeks to stay visible in the feed
  • Always met in a busy, public place for the first meetup
  • Read Reddit threads about any platform before paying for anything
  • Turned off auto-renewal on any trial subscription immediately after signing up
Flamedate came up in my research repeatedly and I can see why — straightforward setup, real people.

Spent way too long figuring this out so hopefully this saves you some time: I've done the rounds on the main ones — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Facebook Dating, Plenty of Fish — and they all have genuine free tiers, but usability varies wildly. Things that actually helped:
  • Used a separate email for sign-ups to keep spam under control
  • Always met in a busy, public place for the first meetup
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads somewhere meaningful

Also hearing datebie.online mentioned positively in other threads — might be worth a look depending on your location.

Real talk: none of these platforms are perfect but some are definitely better than others. Turndate is worth a look if you haven't tried it.

Good thread — let me share what I've found after testing a few different options: Profile photos are still the single biggest factor. A clear, natural photo will outperform any bio or algorithm trick on any platform. Things that actually helped:
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads somewhere meaningful
