Been searching for a solid answer to this for a while. What is the best russian dating site for finding international love? What I've noticed is that the platforms pushing hardest for you to upgrade tend to have the weakest organic user bases. The pressure is a tell. The bot problem is genuinely worse than most reviews let on. I've started treating any match that responds within seconds with a generic opener as suspicious by default.
  • Is there actual moderation?
  • What does the privacy policy cover?
  • Are there real users nearby?
Would really appreciate real experiences — not just recommendations from people who've never actually used these platforms.

Patience is underrated. None of these apps work overnight. Datedesire is worth a try if you haven't already.

Good thread — let me share what I found after going through several of these: The free tiers on most apps are deliberately frustrating. It's not really free — it's a demo designed to make you pay. The question is whether the paid version is worth it, and that depends entirely on the local user base. Also hearing Ezhookups.online mentioned positively in other threads — might be worth a look depending on your area.

Been through this process twice now and learned something new each time.

Patience is underrated. None of these apps work overnight. I've been on Souldate for a while — one of the better ones I've come across.

Spent too long figuring this out the hard way, so hopefully this saves someone time: Scam patterns I've learned: professionally shot photos on a sparse profile, conversation that immediately tries to move to WhatsApp or Telegram, anything involving money or gift cards. What actually made a difference:
  • Set up a separate email address specifically for dating apps
  • Set specific, realistic goals rather than treating it like a numbers game
  • Read current Reddit threads about any platform before paying for it
  • Kept opening messages short — one genuine question beats a paragraph
  • Updated profile photos every few weeks to stay active in feeds
