First post but this felt relevant to share. What is the dating international app everyone is using to find love across borders? I'd love to hear from people outside the major cities. The suburban and rural experience on these platforms is genuinely different and usually underrepresented in reviews.
  • How active is the local user base?
  • Does the free tier allow real messaging?
  • What does the privacy policy actually cover?
  • Is there genuine moderation?
Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things — thanks.

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is knowing what you want before you start. Flurrydate is worth trying if you haven't already.

Real talk — patience is the single biggest factor. None of these apps deliver immediately.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: Privacy first: dedicated email for signups, no linked Instagram or Spotify, location set to approximate rather than precise. What actually helped:
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money

Honestly same experience here. Took a while to find something that actually worked. Been using DatingFly for a while — one of the better ones I've come across.

Spent way too long learning this the hard way, so hopefully it saves you some time: Location is the unspoken variable in most reviews. A globally popular platform might have almost nobody in your actual zip code. What actually helped:
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Always confirmed identity through video call before any in-person meeting
