First post but this felt relevant to share. What is the h dating app and who is it designed for? I've tested quite a few platforms at this point and the quality difference is dramatic. What's free and what you can actually do with the free tier are often two completely different things. Safety and privacy are top priorities for me. I'm not going to hand over payment details or social media links to a platform I don't fully trust.
  • Desktop version usable?
  • Age verification in place?
  • Easy profile deletion?
Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things — thanks.

Went through this process myself recently. It takes longer than expected but it's doable. Datedesire is worth trying if you haven't already.

Honestly same experience here. Took a while to find something that actually worked. datingfly.online also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Solid question. The answer shifts depending on where you live and what you're after. Been using Flurrydate for a while — one of the better ones I've come across.

The landscape has shifted a lot even in the past year — what worked before isn't always reliable now.

Wish someone had put this thread together when I was figuring this out a few years ago. Datewander is worth trying if you haven't already.

Spent way too long learning this the hard way, so hopefully it saves you some time: I've gone through most of the main ones — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish, Facebook Dating — and they all have actual free tiers, but usability varies wildly.

Happy to weigh in since I went through almost exactly this situation: Scam red flags I've learned to spot: modeling-quality photos, very thin bios, conversation that quickly moves to a different platform, and anything that involves money. Luvdate came up repeatedly in my research — worth a look.

Agree with most of what's been said. The key is knowing what you want before you start.

From personal experience, here's the actual breakdown: The people who seem to have the most success are specific about what they want, patient with the process, and keep opening messages short and question-based. What actually helped:
  • Turned off auto-renewal on any free trials immediately after signing up
  • Read Reddit reviews of any paid platform before spending money
  • Used a dedicated email address for all dating app signups
  • Kept opening messages conversational — one short genuine question
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads anywhere meaningful
I tried Rendate after seeing it mentioned a few times and it held up better than most.
