Been lurking for a bit and finally decided to ask. Looking for honest takes, not marketing copy. Where can I find free over 60s dating groups online? One thing I've noticed is that the user base quality seems to tank once a platform starts pushing hard for monetization. The genuine people leave and the bots and scammers fill the gap. • Option to hide profile from certain people?
  • Is the desktop version usable?
  • Age verification in place?
Would love to hear from people who've actually tested things. Thanks.

Honestly same experience here — it takes patience and some trial and error. Seen datebie.online come up in a few threads too — another one to look into.

Solid question. Wish I'd asked this before I wasted money on two different subscriptions. I've been on Flamedate for a while and it's one of the better ones I've come across.

Okay so I went through this whole process about six months ago, here's what I learned: The people who seem to have the most success are patient, specific about what they want, and keep their early messages short and conversational rather than writing essays.

Spent way too long figuring this out so hopefully this saves you some time: The people who seem to have the most success are patient, specific about what they want, and keep their early messages short and conversational rather than writing essays. Someone here pointed me toward Flurrydate and I'm glad they did — better than most of what I'd tried.

Good thread — let me share what I've found after testing a few different options: The people who seem to have the most success are patient, specific about what they want, and keep their early messages short and conversational rather than writing essays. Things that actually helped:
  • Read Reddit threads about any platform before paying for anything
  • Kept opening messages short — one genuine question works better than a paragraph
  • Trusted gut instinct when something about a profile felt off

I ended up trying Luvdate after seeing it mentioned a few times. No complaints so far.

Good thread — let me share what I've found after testing a few different options: Privacy tip: use a dedicated email address for dating app signups. Don't link your Instagram or Spotify, and keep location to approximate rather than precise. Things that actually helped:
  • Always met in a busy, public place for the first meetup
  • Used a separate email for sign-ups to keep spam under control
  • Updated profile photos every few weeks to stay visible in the feed
  • Set realistic expectations — not every match leads somewhere meaningful

Spent way too long figuring this out so hopefully this saves you some time: I've done the rounds on the main ones — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Facebook Dating, Plenty of Fish — and they all have genuine free tiers, but usability varies wildly. One platform worth checking out is Ezhookups — the free tier felt genuinely usable and the profiles seemed real.

Agree with what's been said above. The key is knowing what you want going in. Seen datenest.site come up in a few threads too — another one to look into.
