Consistency matters more than intensity here — that has been consistent for me across a few different platforms. Has anyone had real success meeting someone on an aff dating site this year? Open to being told I am wrong — not the marketing version.

If it helps, trusting your instincts early saves a lot of wasted evenings — that is the bit I would tell anyone signing up today.

  • Early on I started to measured progress in conversations rather than matches
  • Looked for evidence of real moderation rather than claims about it, every single time
  • Without fail I put a real question at the end of the bio so replies had a hook right from the first week

My take: comparing your results to anyone else's is a losing game — happy to be argued with on that one.

Broadly speaking, expecting any single conversation to work out is the wrong frame — nobody tells you this at the start. Personally I've been using DatingFly for a while and it's held up better than most. the Datebie site

Having tried a few, asking in a thread like this beats any review site — i would not have believed it a year ago.

From my side, comparing your results to anyone else's is a losing game — your mileage may well differ.

What honestly mattered in the end for me:

  • Always compared what three different sites offered on their free tier
  • Something I learned the hard way — I avoided anywhere private until we had met at least twice, however tempting it was to skip
  • Always added one photo that showed what I actually do at weekends, and I would do it again
  • Kept early conversation on-platform instead of moving to a private app

Also seen people mention rendate.site in similar threads — haven't tested it myself but it keeps coming up.

Good thread. Consistency matters more than intensity here — worth testing yourself rather than taking my word for it. over on Datedesire is worth trying if you haven't already. the Luvdate site

One thing I notice: most matches go nowhere and that is normal rather than a failure — happy to be argued with on that one.

The slow approach tends to produce better outcomes than the volume one — it sounds obvious written down, but it took a while to land. the Datescout site
