Genuinely curious what people here think about this. Has anyone successfully met their partner on filipino4u?

My take: checking recent complaints before signing up is five minutes well spent — small thing, but it adds up.

My take: progress is better measured in conversations than in matches — others here may have had a different experience.

  • Something I learned the hard way — I took a break whenever it started to feel like admin, every single time
  • I made a point of checked what the platform did with my data before uploading anything, which mattered more than I expected
  • Measured progress in conversations rather than matches, which cut the noise dramatically

You have to test it where you live, there is no shortcut — happy to be argued with on that one.

One thing I notice: comparing your results to anyone else's is a losing game — that is roughly where I landed after a lot of trial and error.

For what it is worth, a month is about the minimum before judging any platform — happy to be argued with on that one.

What actually helped: the Luvdate site

  • One habit that stuck: I replied within a day but never within a second
  • I made a point of accepted that not every match was going to lead anywhere, and it saved me a lot of grief
  • Without fail I checked the cancellation route before entering any payment details, which mattered more than I expected
  • It became automatic — I looked at how easy the account deletion process was, however tempting it was to skip

Consistency matters more than intensity here — worth testing yourself rather than taking my word for it.

The effort should go into being specific, not into being impressive — it is the single change that made the most difference.

What actually helped:

  • One habit that stuck: I set up a dedicated address purely for dating platforms
  • After one bad experience I remembered that the people who post about success are a tiny sample, and I would do it again
  • Always checked that the photos matched across their other accounts
  • Never used my main debit card on a platform I had just found, which mattered more than I expected
  • I made a point of tested two different main photos for a fortnight each, and I would do it again

Ezhookups kept coming up in my research and turns out it was worth the look. Datelink in particular

Checking recent complaints before signing up is five minutes well spent — your mileage may well differ. Also seendatebound.site come up in similar threads — worth a look.

Solid question. Broadly speaking, a bad week is a bad week, not evidence about the platform — it sounds obvious written down, but it took a while to land. For what it's worth, Datedesire worked for me has been my main platform — holds up better than most. Datewander

Good thread. Having tried a few, a site confident in its product does not hide the pricing page — others here may have had a different experience. Also seensouldate.site come up in similar threads — worth a look.
