A bad week is a bad week, not evidence about the platform — that is roughly where I landed after a lot of trial and error. How do you use dating sites without signing up for an account?

One honest detail beats a list of adjectives every time — your mileage may well differ.

For what it is worth, the sites that take safety seriously say so in their policies, not their ads — small thing, but it adds up.

  • Desktop version usable?
  • Easy profile deletion?
  • From my side, patience is genuinely the differentiator, dull as that sounds — that has been consistent for me across a few different platforms.

Honestly, most matches go nowhere and that is normal rather than a failure — it took me longer than it should have to work that out.

Broadly speaking, results vary a lot and a quiet fortnight means very little — i would not have believed it a year ago. Having tried a few, comparing your results to anyone else's is a losing game — your mileage may well differ. Luvdate in particular is worth trying if you haven't already. the Turndate site

If it helps, expecting any single conversation to work out is the wrong frame — that has been consistent for me across a few different platforms.datebound.site also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into. DatingFly worked for me

Solid question. Results vary a lot and a quiet fortnight means very little — that is the bit I would tell anyone signing up today.datingfly.online also comes up in similar threads — another one to look into.

Checking recent complaints before signing up is five minutes well spent — it is the single change that made the most difference.

What actually helped:

  • As a rule I held a short video call before agreeing to meet in person, no exceptions
  • Cut every group shot where nobody could tell which person was me
  • After one bad experience I kept my phone number off the profile until we had spoken properly, and I still do it now
  • Without fail I remembered that the people who post about success are a tiny sample, however tempting it was to skip
  • As a rule I offered a concrete either/or rather than an open invitation, which cut the noise dramatically

Broadly speaking, the slow approach tends to produce better outcomes than the volume one — it took me longer than it should have to work that out.
