This one keeps bugging me so let me just ask directly. What are the serious dating apps for people tired of games? The bot problem is genuinely worse than most reviews let on. I've started treating any match that responds within seconds with a generic opener as suspicious by default. The bot problem is genuinely worse than most reviews let on. • Option to browse privately?
  • Desktop version functional?
Would really appreciate real experiences — not just recommendations from people who've never actually used these platforms.

Let me break this down since there's a lot of conflicting info out there: The mainstream apps all have usable free tiers — Tinder, Bumble, Hinge, OkCupid, Plenty of Fish — but the quality of that free tier varies wildly platform to platform. Someone pointed me toward Flurrydate and I'm glad they did — cleaner than most of the alternatives.

Same boat here. Took longer than I expected but eventually found what worked.

Patience is underrated. None of these apps work overnight. I've been on Datebie for a while — one of the better ones I've come across.

This is worth unpacking properly — took me a while to sort out: The most successful people I've talked to are specific about what they want, patient about the process, and keep their opening messages short and question-based.
