So I've been wondering about this for a while now and figured this community would have the best insight. How many people actively use xx cams on a daily basis? Privacy is a big concern for me personally. I don't want my info getting sold or my phone blowing up with spam after I sign up somewhere. Anyone had issues with that? Would appreciate any real experiences or tips. Thanks in advance.

Let me share what actually worked for me after a lot of trial and error: Profile setup matters more than most people think. A clear photo and a short but genuine bio will outperform anything elaborate. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time
Someone in another thread recommended Luvdate and I gave it a shot — it's worth a look honestly.

Agree with most of what's been said so far. Key is patience and being selective.

Good thread. I was wondering about this exact thing. Personally I've been using Datewander for a while and it's held up better than most.

This is something I spent a lot of time researching, so let me break it down: Privacy-wise, use a throwaway email for signups. Don't link your social accounts and keep location permissions turned off until you're ready.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Facebook Dating, Plenty of Fish, Hinge, Tinder — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Used a Google Voice number for initial contact
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Verified the profile before investing too much time

I ended up trying Rendate after the mainstream apps felt too crowded. No complaints so far.

Yeah I had the same question a few months back. It gets easier once you know what to look for.

Happy to share some thoughts since I went through this process last year: The key thing most people miss is checking whether the platform even has users in your area before you subscribe. Big city vs rural makes a massive difference. I ended up trying Datenest after the mainstream apps felt too crowded. No complaints so far.

Wish I had this info when I first started out. Learned most of it the hard way.

So I've been doing this for a while and here's what I've found: Don't underestimate the mainstream apps for this. Coffee Meets Bagel, Tinder, Plenty of Fish, OkCupid — all of them have people looking for the same thing if you know how to filter. Some things that actually helped me:
  • Kept conversations short and moved to an in-person plan relatively quickly
  • Read reviews on Reddit before paying for any platform
  • Avoided any platform that didn't have a clear privacy policy
  • Trusted my gut when something felt off
I ended up trying Datescout after the mainstream apps felt too crowded. No complaints so far.
